I’m saying that just because us fans want fights as soon as we want them there are many reasons why they don’t happen when they do. Fighters being scared or “ducking” specially fighters the caliber of a canelo or a Benavidez isn’t one of those reasons. It’s a business first, regardless if you like it or agree with that or not. It’s facts and that fight makes more money in September then it will in may specially if canelo and Benavidez can both fight before September against top names and both win. Canelo is coming off his first win in almost 2 years where he didn’t look sluggish (thanks to the fact that he fought an inactive jmw). Who is to say that if they have another fight in the spring that they look as good? Especially with canelo who keeps blaming performances on injuries and other things. The fight is at its peak right now. Canelo not taking it has nothing to do with business, it’s straight avoidance. Canelo took less money per fight to avoid Benavidez and last I heard, business is about making more money. I know it pains your delicate heart to know the man you love is ducking but that’s what he’s doing and it’s not the first time. 4 months is too short between fights for such a big fight. What if they have tough fights or have injuries? Suddenly the Sept date is gone. Then what? Sept 2025? When Canelo is 35 and when Benavidez might not be able to make the weight? The fight can be totally derailed easily over a dumb delay when its all set up now.

I’m not sure about any of that, I’m speculating on what would make business sense. No fight is a guaranteed win, I’m saying he’s likely win based on their track records and the bookies will confirm that as well doesn’t mean every single favored fighter wins. Remember Tyson Douglas? Douglas was a 40-1 underdog or something crazy like that and we know how that went. The thing with you guys claiming canelo is ducking is this..
