It would behoove Benavidez to throw two hooks since when he hit Charlo to the body he actually lowers his right elbow to cover it. Don't know if Benavidez can muster anything, he is slowing down considerably.

This is like a glorified sparring session of a more skilled fighter working on things on a fighter he knows he has more skills and size. Safe fighter to try things on and to shake some rust off.Last edited by STREET CLEANER; 11-25-2023, 10:49 PM.Comment

Accumulation. He's beating up his opposition, but he's soaking up punishment each fight and has yet to fight a top guy like himself. Ponce and Ergsahev are decent, but very inactive. Both started off fast because Matias starts slow and is very available, but they didn't pace themselves and Matias was able to break them once he turned up the heat. Prograis and Teofimo both have power/experience/counter-punching ability to stun Matias with something he doesn't see, and are less likely to wilt under the spotlight. Win or lose, he's not making it through them unscathed.
Then you have Haney, who will box Matias' ears off until he gets into trouble late in the fight.Last edited by kiaba360; 11-25-2023, 10:49 PM.Comment
