I agree 100 percent. It's an absolute joke. Same day weigh ins were an issue because guys were trying to be weight bullies rather than move up a division. They didn't want to lose that advantage, so instead of making an interval weigh in period to make sure the guys are doing it safely, they instead made it so you could have 24 hours. But NOW not even THAT is good enough. NOW they need damn near 48 hours.

It's a ****ing joke. And then we have these clowns defending it. Crazy.

Wow. Andrade is 6' 1". I thought he was 5' 11". I just checked on that after your comment. That's probably true, so now he's fighting close to his natural weight class.

Regardless, I think these things hurt the sport.

If the rules are the same for both fighters, what's the problem?

Actually, what they should do is put a rehydration cap on these fighters. Rehydration caps at 12 pounds, and after that, you're in violation and will be sanctioned. I don't want to see one guy go in the ring with a 15 to 20 pound weight advantage over the other guy. That **** has to stop.

Because one man is significantly heavier than the other man. That's the problem. It makes weight classes pointless. I remember Zurdo outweighed a man by 20 pounds and proceeded to beat the crap out of him. It was some German guy. That was recently. He came in the ring weighing as much as a heavyweight. That's just an example.

I can't respect that. It makes this so that it's no longer a sport based on skill.

But he runs the risk of being weakened by being weight drained. The rules are the same for both sides and you chose if you want to take that risk. It could work for you or against you.

Every fighter you named is African American. Must be a reason for that.

A weight bully is someone who doesn’t make the contracted weight forcing their opponent to either take the fight at a disadvantage or not get paid for the work and sacrifice they did to make the weight.

Some examples: Floyd, Canelo, Jermall, D Benevides, Nery. I’m certain there are more.

boxing is based on weigh classes and make an issue of moving up and down as being a great thing but we have a situation where noone actually knows what current fighters fight night weights are, some guys rehydrate 15 or 20 pounds, thats 2 or 3 or 4 weight classes, its a bit bizarre i think
