I know, I was stalking you

    But really, is that true?

I also watched a James Kirkland fight there exactly two weeks later on the same TV but I can't remember who he was fighting

Kirkland, now there's a blast from the past

It honestly feel like it was way longer ago to me, seems like Froch has been a blustering talking head for a long time now

Glen Tapia. Absolute war while it lasted. Then Rigo-Agbeko stunk out the joint. Same night Showtime aired a quadruple header topped by Malignaggi-Judah too. 2013 was a great year for boxing.

Has anybody ever been to one of their dinner shows? Not been myself yet but heard good things.
Unfortunately Froch's brother participates so for that reason I wouldn't bother.

              Have you been before?

I don’t mind Lee tbh, met him a couple of times, at fights or after fight parties and stuff like that, always seemed alright, bit of drinker back in the day but he’s been sober for years now.

People shouldn't be fooled by them being so-called good friends.

Groves is sincere in this and it says a lot about his maturity.
With Froch it's another story. It 's not that he likes Groves that much.
He's simply being 'friends' because of his ego. He feels superior to Groves because he beat him and he likes to remind himself and Groves about it. That's why.
Just listen how many time he throws in the 'when I fought you' anecdotes. He does it everytime.
They would have never been 'friends' if Groves had won. His relationship with him would be the same as he now has with Andre Ward.

I once read a comment of someone's Mum working in hardware store and Froch threw a total fit because he didn't get a discount "didn't they know who he was?!?"
The man is a serious egomaniac.

I think it’s genuine tbf. They seem to socialise together too, they were out on the wine together last weekend I seen.

Froch has a very dry sense of humour, a lot of his comments are tongue in cheek. He sounds like a bit of a pr*** sometimes but he’s generally alright I reckon. I do remember him refusing to get a picture with some kids at Klitschko-Fury which was a bit out of order though.

It was one of the earliest big examples I seen of how casuals can flip flop so massively.

The hatred Froch got after that stoppage was insane, they were tearing in to everything about him, I remember threads on him having a crappy resume, being overrated, that groves had given him brain damage, that his chin was overrated etc.

Then a few months later he wins the rematch clean and he's the best thing since sliced bread again and he would have legit ko'd groves if the first fight went on 5 seconds longer.

The whole thing really drove home how reactionary boxing fans can be and how you really are only as good as your last fight.
