It was hands down one of the worst championship fights I have ever seen. I just don’t enjoy seeing Stevenson fight and won’t go out of my way to see him fight again

He has the WBC belt. Now he can say that someone hurt his feelings and he needs to step away for mental health and just, ya know, come back whenever to cherry pick a catch weight tune up.

Stevenson to me is the new Guillermo Rigondeaux. An excellent boxer that stinks up the place. He obviously didn't care about the crowd because if he did then he would have taken more chances in the fight. His opponent was also fast and ready for him and Stevenson didn't want to take any chances with getting caught during the fight. I had a very hard time watching that fight. It tells me something about Stevenson when they showcase his fight on a Thursday night. This fight stunk, stunk, stunk just like Stevenson being a safety first fighter.

I don't know if I can say Top Rank/ESPN are brilliant in making this fight on a Thursday. It almost seemed like they knew it's going to be a stinker.

I agree with you on that. If this keeps on, then at some point, they may drop Stevenson. The sport doesn't appreciate pure boxing talent like Stevenson unless he is knocking out people.
