After the fight, many rewatched it (some several times) and decided they were initially wrong, that Haney did win the fight. Just today (which is why I thought I'd make this post), I heard Brad Goodman say he scored the fight for Loma at first, but on his second time viewing, he scored it for Devin (116-112).

Do you think Goodman and others are right? What do you guys think? Was this actually a robbery?

Additionally, I'm curious as to what the forum believes constitutes a robbery. Is it how many rounds a boxer wins and isn't given credit for? Is it how dominate he was? People seem to have different thresholds.

A robbery to me is one fighter clearly and decisively winning at least 8 of 12 rds and doesn't get the decision. Boxing is subjective and 7-5 leaves too much doubt even if it appears they clearly won. I am discounting kds so lets say they need to be a minimum of 4 points ahead.

In the case of Loma/Haney, neither fighter clearly won more than 1 or 2 rds, it was a close highly contested chess match and I am ok with Haney getting the nod but will respect anyone's opinion that Loma won close.

BTW, you could make an argument that Loma had a 10-8 round in round 11. He kicked the crap out of Devin that round, landing 21 punches to Devins five, 11 of which were power punches.

We don't score by number of punches, its based primarily of effectiveness of punches which is a judgement call and machine eyes need not apply we only like emotional subjective flesh and blood types round these parts.

I took a look, I'm not going to watch the whole thing but get the premise and don't like it. Its over complicated for no reason, we can all see what lands and judge the effectiveness of the punches.
