The high guard will always be the key to any potential boring matchup. If none of them don't even have the nerve to use it, then both fighters are scared to death. All that chasing without letting your hands go is just pretending you're doing something. You can chase and chase and still have the option not to engage. It's useless.

Yeah, that's what boxing is all about. Stay on your damn spot and put on the high guard. If nothing still happens, then there's nothing you can do about it. But chasing without cutting the ring off and not throwing anything deserves to be booed.

I think Tim Bradley said it best, "he can do this all night." Meaning, Stevenson is more than willing to not engage for 12 rounds. No sense in watching his fights, I mean fencing practice.

Stevenson had a difficult opponent the could counterpunch well with power. He did take a lot and now has to take all the flak for a flat boring performance.

Terribly boring performance. Stevenson was biting on every feint, any time santos looked to engage Stevenson was already out of range. Sure it’s defense, but defense only. Look at the defensive wizards of the past, they made guys miss but made them pay. Toney, mccallum, Benitez, sweet pea to name a few. This was garbage and people talking about Stevenson like he’s a future ATG are really drinking the koolaid, he’s not even a complete fighter. Complete disappointment, tank would probably sleep this kid and that guy hasn’t even fought A level opposition…

His defence is elite level and he could win a boring UD against anyone, people saying he cant fight don't know what they looking at, he didn't have a go at being offensive and played safety first which takes nothing away from his boxing ability, he only needs to change his way of thinking put his feet back on the ground and go for it, the reality is it may be exactly what he needed to light a fire under his ass, time will tell.

I'm quite sure there are some dorks on here that thinks he can't fight. But people like me are mad because of the exact opposite. We KNOW he can fight! That's why it was frustrating to watch that ****. At 23 yrs old Floyd stood right in front of you and peppered you with shots while using the shoulder roll defense, RJJ stood in front of you and rocked you with 10 punches before you could throw back, Sugar Ray stood in front of you and threw 900 punches a round to overwhelm you and Sweet Pea stood in front of you and mesmerized you with those crazy body contortions. NONE of them ran around the ring and jump 30ft back when they thought they were going to get punched. Your fans (and you know who I mean) are a little frustrated but we're still here. But one more performance like that and WE OUT!
