I still dont get it......how does he do it
How the hell does Ricky Hatton lose 30-50 lbs in training before a fight?

He goes from on extreme to another. Living large and pumping crap into your body, then going into training camp and running, doing fitness circuits, lots of boxing, eating well. The weight falls off remarkably quickly. However doing it long term like Ricky did definitely isn't good for your body, and Ricky's decline was partially due to that, and partially due to his punch resistance failing, as he also had a style that required a good jaw, and he had it for most of his career, but when it got cracked his days were very numbered from there on. -

remember athletes have "muscle memory" but it applies to weight loss a bit too. It's not like taking your typical obese american fed on burger king and having them lose 50lbs. When you're an athlete and you constantly lose 30lbs then balloon up then lose it again over and over, it becomes very smooth for your body to do so fast. But it does hinder his training greatly I'm sure that's why he's went down hill so fast.Comment

Hatton said he can lose up to a stone in a week in a mensfitness or menshealth mag. He said eat small protein meals and that and runs about 6 mile a day.I used to do 2 pound a day roughly and went from 180 down to 154 , walk around 160.I just took 1 weight at a time and then carbed up till i got to my walk around weight 160 .Went to 175 , 168 , 160 , 154 .Never f----g again tho it was hard.My goal is still 147 but I need to stop boozing and start running.Comment
