Hang on this is just weasel words from Sulaiman, the real question should be when will the Mandatory be enforced, not just making him mandatory. Its been almost 3 years since Canelo fought his WBC mandatory. Its obvious by his words he will not be enforcing anything more weasel garbage. I don’t think canelo ducking bumavidez that’s a pretty common misconception. Bivol is better than benevidez and canelo fought him with no issues at higher weight. His Mexican nationalism is annoying but he has never used it to duck anyone . I think he’s just prefer to fight non Mexican heritage fighters. Before Canelo fought him, Bivol looked very average, and non threatening, which is why Canelo choose him over a dangerous fighter like Benavidez. If you use some logic there would be no reason for Canelo to choose an unknown allegedly better fighter, with no fan base no demand, than the bigger more lucrative Benavidez fight. Canelo is not that dumb. What he does have a history of his cherry picking which is why he chose Bivol and it back fired.

I'm curious how much more obvious does it need to be that Canelo is ducking Benavidez. Will you admit if he fights Charlo or Mungia next?
