This kid and his father are looking for a 'pay day' that they have not earned or deserve.

As he should. Boots got a belt, but Bud is #1 at 147 & Boots is at 147.

Belts matter to some extent, don't get me wrong, but #1 is the real goal & a belt doesn't represent being #1 anymore as it should if boxing made sense.

Who in boxing DOESN'T want the big fight lol.

And "deserve" is always a weird word to use. Before Errol Bud fought David Ava. Did David Ava "deserve" to fight Bud? Lotsa mfers get big fights that they don't deserve in boxing lets quit bsing like thats some sort of requirement.

The problem I see is that Crawford himself took about 10 years of wasting his career fighting no one to only finally beat a dehydrated Spence and now all of sudden he's put on a pedestal. Call me when Crawford gets back to back wins against top notch competition with fighters that are 100% and not dehydrated, only then he will earn the right to pick and choose who his opponents are....
No fighter has THE RIGHT to pick and choose their opponents. Imagine other sports allowing their players and teams to pick and choose their opponents. Boxing should be set up that every single fighter is forced to fight their nearest competition. We never really know who the "best" fighters are because there's so much ducking and avoiding competitive fights. Pampered fighters with great management and promoters can have their hand as they climb their way up the boxing ladder. Even the fans don't want to see their favourite fighters face someone who is deemed to be a threat. What a ridiculous sport!
