Floyd is a professional fighter, so why is there an issue with Floyd looking at the possible fights out there? Even if he fights some scrub, it is jsut one fight and it deos not preclude things from happeaning in teh future.

Fighters should not wait on other fighters to make moves for them because you never know (paging Shane Mosley) what will go down.


Anyone who thinks Floyd is scared of Shane Mosley at this point is basically a mark for that fight when it takes place later on.

It is tough to say who Floyd would fight if he doesn't wait and does not fight Mosley. Who is he going to fight Cory Spinks because that is like the only fight that even makes a little sence?

Cory Spinks is a solid fighter who is a champ at 154. I think Spinks is a more highly regarded fighter then Berto and certainly done a ton more in boxing then Berto. Beating Spinks would burnish Floyd's resume at 147 and above.

I do not see why Mayweather would not fight Spinks, there are some angles (Hip Hop, fighting familys, 2 midwest guys) on top of that Spinks is a lefty and I have heard a bunch of times on here that Floyd sucks against lefties, I disagree with that but some poeple do believe it.

To be honest I think a Mayweeather Spinks fight would have more overall excitment in the ring then Mayweather-Mosley (which to me has terrible fight written all over it).
