Indeed! While Boots fights on PBC cards, he is not signed to Haymon. If Boots was signed to Haymon, Spence would have passed him the "baton" not to a 35 years old "free agent" Crawford!

Boots is like on the right side of the streets but not actually allowed to step out on it!

I think he wanted to keep some degree of freedom in how his career is managed.

Which of course means that The Powers That Be of boxing will freeze him out. Can’t have that mentality infecting the other worker peasants…err…boxers.

Boots should try to hook up with Jake Paul and see if that might open some new doors for him.
