Aren’t 90% of boxers delusional about their worth, hence why HBO and Showtime are out of the boxing business. Boxing needs reforming.Comment

He thinks that he should get paid like he still is too. I love watching him fight but he doesn't draw much of a crowd for whatever reason. 4k in a city of millions like New York , a city of such diversity and density of population that there have got to be at least 20 thousand boxing fans even with it being a niche sport. Didn't the ladies fill out the big arena at MSG ? Meanwhile Teo Loco can't fill the ballroom. You're right, he is delusional.
Teo needs to remember that he was one who sacrificed time for money when he forced the Kambosos fight to a purse bid. It wasn't Triller that gave you a bigger purse than Top Rank, it was Matchroom! If he had just accepted the small money from TR, maybe he would've avoided illness/injury and 12 months of inactivity. Teo would rather shxt on the platform/promoter for his own lackluster performance. He is STILL immature.
Teo should be following up on the Taylor win, but he's letting it go to waste. He could've fought Barboza to stay busy. Teo is such a hard guy to root for.Last edited by kiaba360; 11-10-2023, 11:11 AM.Comment

Hearn’s been trying to school Teofimo Jr on boxing business but Jr wants no part of the truth.
It is true that boxers can only get what they’re worth and what they generate. Not just get paid based on how good they are.
Roman Gonzalez was at one point #1 P4P, undefeated for a long time, champion, etc, but always got paid peanuts because that’s what he generated. In fact he actually got overpaid in some of his fights.
If Teofimo wants $8m, he has to fight a youtube superstar or a big UFC name in a crossover fight.Comment

Teo's main issue isn't his promoter, it his manager David McWater and Split T, McWater is as dumb as he looks and Arum has a field day at the negotiating table!Comment

This is what my first thought was. He's always talking about he provides more value for money than any promoter, but DAZN ain't worth $220 or w/e its up to now. I think thats more expensive than any premium channel in the US & all they got is 95% FNF level or lower fights with UK guys & darts.Comment
