Pretty much. That fight has more or less killed the legitimacy of this whole HW era, not just Fury. Its time to just ****ing wrap it up and move on to the next generation.

This isn't as big a stain as folks are making it out to be. HWs in any combat sport are one punch away from ending a fight. There is always danger there as long as they have both hands and some level of skill. If this happened in a lower weight class with one of the notable names down there, then there might be something for the MMA kids to cheer about. It's not that serious.

And when Fury beats Usyk, he'll be undisputed champ. He's already held every belt at one time of other anyway.

In future it'll go down as a boxing event where Fury won a points decision in a fight he clearly overlooked an MMA fighter and didn't perform well..that's it. It's only a hot topic now.

nobody will care much when it's all said and done. It's not going to define a legacy when he's achieved much greater things.

Fury won tho. I think he’s referring to ruiz/AJ fight. Getting knocked to inactive obese fighter is a stain on legacy especially when u come back and lose 2 Str8 to a MW who arguably lost to chisora and maris Bredis lmao

You know what really kills a guy's legacy? Getting knocked out by a late replacement who looks like the Pillsbury dough boy.

Hearn should look at his own legacy and stop trying to get a fighter he promotes involved in a contest he has not right to take part in until he tells everyone inc. Hearn how illegal drugs were found inside of him on two separate occassions .Fury had to dig deep to secure a lucky (in my opinion ) win but he moves on, a big win from a serious and fit Fury will put this behind him .

It wasnt a Hail Mary punch situation though. It was a guy who has for years been proclaimed as the obvious no1 of the division, and by some people as some kind of unstoppable head to head ATG, fighting a 37 year old who was 0-0 in boxing, getting dropped, losing multiple rounds, getting busted up and being unable to get a finish or even hurt the guy. It was a terrible look and likely wont be forgotten about easily unless Fury gets absolutely murdered in every fight he has from now on.
