Just watch when he beats Prograis. That smile would extend from ear to ear.

Devon knew that that's why he lowballed him.

Same thing Spence did to Crawford for 5 or 6 years.
Devin took low pay and agreed to having two fights in Australia in order to get his shot at Kambosos.

Shakur Stevenson should have done the same to get his shot at winning all 4 belts.

And Shakur himself turned right around and offered 25% to Frank Martin.

Devin Haney took that because nobody respected Kambosos as a champion.

          That's my point

AS soon as Kambosos became champion everybody came out the woodworks volunteering to fight him because he was perceived as weak from day one

He knew there was no chance of him losing (outside of robbery), so he took less.

He wouldn't have taken 25% against Teo, who was a fellow American and an actual threat.

He wouldn't have taken that against Shakur or Frank Martin or Lomachenko

Again, show me where two American fighters who are in a similar place in their careers fought with a 75/25 split?

1 would have to be wayyyyyy more popular & successful for that to happen.

Devin & Shakur are not that far apart in notoriety, age, or accomplishments.

He’s not lying. I’ve always said Shakur is a better boxer than Haney and would beat him in a potential fight if/when it happens, but with that being said, they’re both loudmouths, but at the very least, Haney has already fought better competition and is already more accomplished career wise even though he’s two years younger. Haney is on the right path to bigger and better things, whereas Shakur wants to be viewed as a boogeyman, but in reality, Shakur doesn’t want to be a B-side against, Haney, Tank, Loma, Garcia, even though those guys are clearly more popular and bigger draws than him.

Shakur looks like a generational talent in the ring, but he seems to want to run right away before he can crawl, and that’s the mindset with a lot of those new age boxers, call it the “Mayweather syndrome” if you will.
