Isn't he a life long heavy weed smoker? Could be a factor.

Also, the genetics. If I remember correctly, Chavez Sr had troubles with addictions as well.

This is what happens when some people have a lot of time in their hands. They don't know what to do with it.

You're quick to assume but we don’t know the details. This is the son of a Mexican legend who is widely regarded as being the best Mexican fighter ever. He also happens to share a name with his dad and was a professional boxer himself. He always had a huge spotlight on him with monumental expectations placed on him. That weight could very well have something to do with his mental health especially fans that are constantly harassing him.

People are not normally born with mental health issues.

He didn't say that he said the pressure and failed attempt to live up to his father could have been a huge factor to depression and the mental health decline of jr which I agree with.

Poor guy nearly had sergio martinez in that last round.

chavez has been attacked by trolls and know nothings who would have been beaten to a pulp by him in his day.

he's useless now but he was a tough guy and had a decent left hook and defence.

Fair points, he wasn't the most talented but durable and had heart. He gave it his best shot and wasn't good enough to be an elite fighter, nothing wrong with that. I wish the guy the best and hope he gets himself together.
