    this seems like too big of a risk for babied mungia. he barely beat dervychenko who was moving up in weight and ryder is a little fresher although coming off a loss which is good for mungia and they could always just rob ryder

            So you think Munguia is too much of a coward to take the fight…but if he does take the fight it’s only because Ryder is coming off a loss and he can always just rob Ryder anyway?

            Basically you’re setting up a narrative to crap on Munguia no matter which way he goes. He’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t in your eyes. Just come out and say you don’t like Munguia and have a bias against him.

                I think the better way of putting daggum's comment: the Ryder match-up is a calculated risk. If Munguia looks great, then he puts pressure on Canelo and increases his 168lb ranking. If he looks bad, the deck is still stacked in his favor. All Munguia needs to do is make it to the final bell and not get dominated in the process.
