Hard to land because he has been fighting mediocre opposite that he out sizes. Easy to avoid the punches from a midget like Valdez. Santos has more reach , is probably faster and obviously has more power, plus he has skill, so only a casual fan boy would dismiss him as a legit threat.

I guess we'll see. I don't mind seeing an upset, but I suspect you'll get an education as to who counts as a casual fanboy. You're talking about Shakur fighting mediocre opponents, but who exactly has Edwin fought that's even remotely on the level of Valdez, Herring, or even Conceicao? He's not even faced a title challenger. He lost a split to Foster. Do you think Foster is on Shakur's level?

He showed some decent skill against Valenzuela and Adorno, but he's never fought anyone that's particularly hard to hit. All his opponents have relied on shelling up, with not much in the way of head movement, foot placement, etc. He probably has more power than Shakur, but Shakur was stopping everyone when he was fighting opponents at the level of DLS' opposition too, and Shakur's only fight at lightweight was a stoppage.

Happy to come back here and admit I was wrong if he pulls of the upset, but right now, you look like the casual fanboy with your double standards.

Only route I see edwin winning is targeting Shakur's body like Oscar Valdez/Kevin Johnson did and throw a kitchen sink to the stationary head. But seeing how Foster just lost to a upcoming Henry Lebron, it doesn't seem like that be an easy task.

Edwin only has a 2 inch reach advantage. That's only a single inch of arm length, which is trivial to overcome. Reach primarily matters when it significantly changes the size of step you have to take to close the distance.
