It wasn't too long ago that boxers like South African IBF light flyweight champion, Sivenathi Nontshinga, would operate in the shadows. Battling away in relative anonymity, delighting their local support and hardcore fans but struggling to attract the spotlight away from the heavier weight divisions.

Hey, now that Gonzalez is about to get stripped of his belt due to outside the ring issues and the Teraji-Gonzalez unification attempt is about to become meaningless, I'd say just go straight for a Teraji-Nontshinga unification attempt...win or lose it should be a great show as I actually want to see that more than Gonzalez at this point.

If he loses, unlike the heavier weights that overrates the holy undefeated 0, in the lighter weights a loss or two won't suddenly kill your chances at a chance for the belt. In fact, outside the young Nontshinga, the other three belt holders including interim Santiago all has losses in their resume.
If he wins, suddenly he is three belts unified and the absolute man to beat for light fly weight.
