I don't think there's much intention to make profit on these individual events. The plan is to bring eyes to Saudi and make it a destination for tourism and international investment.

Mobutu wasn't looking to make money from Foreman - Ali, it was a propaganda exercise.

Cost of living crisis. People don't want to buy stuff.

Do you think it will work, I can't imagine wimmin feeling safe going over there to be hoes on vacation with their friends, it might be cool to visit but do what exactly? I don't think of anything other than oil and sand when I think of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi’s don’t care if it lost money and they funded the fight. It’s part of their propaganda efforts to change the perception of the country. They were offering Joshua and Fury $100 million each a few years ago so making a profit isn’t a concern.

It was also on at a brutal time, I had a buddy who wanted to watch this one and when I told him the start time he was off doing other things at 6pm EST. Prime time US time and this would have been double the buy rate but that would still be a bad buy rate.

I never thought Fury was a super star and Ngannou is very wooden so that leaves a fight that doesn't cross over to non boxing fans.

I said this would happen months ago.

Nobody is buying a 2pm east coast time/11am west coast time ppv card in America.

Saudi Arabia time difference hurts United States ppv buy potential

Fury is not a big star in the US and the fight being in the afternoon did not help either. Neither guy is from the US and it was viewed as a mismatch.

Maybe it has done better in other place in the world.

Few US residents watch the heavy weights. Let alone a fight between foreigners. And a different time zone.
