The trainers and managers are part of the issue too. Suggesting a fighter needs learning fights, isn't ready for a certain opponent etc.

      Agree.

Its a weird fight. Status wise its all risk no reward for AJ, buts its worth a lot of $$$. And I'm not as confident as Eddie with his AJ KOs him in 3 take.

If I'm AJ's manager I stay away from that fight for now cuz there are fewer worse situations for him to be in than being KO'd by a 0-1 guy. I stay away from Zhang too lol. AJ needs some soft fights til Fury beats Usyk (or thats what I think is gonna happen) then Fury vs AJ is the biggest fight to make or that makes AJ vs whoever (Ngannou or Zhang) bigger with the winner fighting Fury.

Eddie is still very defensive for AJ. They love/respect each other.

AJ already had 2 soft touches though. He could relieve Charr of his WBA title similar to Dubois/Trevor Bryan, but that's the only soft-touch that makes sense. Zhang fight is very easy to market too, and Hearn could probably get away with putting it on PPV. AJ has made more money than a boxer could dream of, so he shouldn't be blinded by the allure of an Ngannou fight.

Overall they’ve made great money on AJ but I’d almost guarantee they lost money on his last two fights. They’re obviously looking longer term at a mega money fight with Fury, Wilder or even a circus fight with Ngannou.

Hearn was telling AJ for months he was about to get 50 million pounds+ or whatever to fight Wilder.

Now is he's more likey to get maybe 5 million pounds if he fights Wilder.

That would cause some strain in any relationship.

I get your side of the story and makes sense but I still believe those two fights don’t account for how much he has brought in
Brits were worshipping him to the point of Jesus Christ , same as Canelo when he was gonna fight light heavy , then cruiserweight, after heavyweight
What people don’t know is , there was a clause obliging him to fight a sumo wrestler
Shhhhhh , don’t mention it in front of the nuthuggers they seem to get real sour

                  .
I'm not so sure about that. If AJ impressively beats Ngannou people (especially casuals) might start thinking "hmm maybe AJ > Fury"

He should keep doing them lol. AJ still seems a lil off to me. He's such an in his own head guy I think he's already sorta checked out of his boxing career, but he knows there are still things he can do there & there is money to be made there so he's going through the motions. He's trying, but I don't think his heart is in it like it was at one point.

I don't think he should fight Ngannou (or Zhang) at all unless a fight with Fury is up for grabs to the winner. The money is nice I'm sure, but not unlike with Fury fighting him ANYTHING Ngannou has success with in that fight, & he will have success vs AJ, is an L for AJ & idk if AJ wants that kinda critique or can handle it very well these days. There is no W in that fight except the $$$ & there is a lot of risk & there are a lot of moral W to be had for Ngannou & moral L's for AJ even if he does win which I don't think is a lock.

LOL yea can't argue with you there, but its also the fight ppl will be wanting to see regardless of what AJ does after Fury vs Usyk assuming Fury wins obviously. The only thing AJ should be worried about is if Usyk beats Fury since fans have seen him lose twice to Usyk & won't have much hype to wanna see it a third time. But a Fury vs Usyk rematch is all but guaranteed so even if Fury loses fight 1, he might win fight 2 & then Fury vs AJ still ends up the HW fight ppl most likely want towards the end of 2024, early 2025.
