      • This thread was originally made obviously because of other legit threads that were titled "Calzaghe would have never been a champ if Roy Jones never left 168". TS was butthurt and made this thread.

If Calzaghe barely squeaked by a 43 year old Bhop, which is still debated to this day as to who won, just imagine for a second what would have happened to Joe if he fought a prime Bhop.

And I don't want to hear "but calzaghe was 36 years old!" because he was coming off his biggest win of his career in Kessler and sure as hell was at the very least pretty damn close to his prime, much closer than hopkins was to his prime.

          Makes perfect sense.
Prime Hopkins still KO'ed people. Calzaghe would have been one of them.
As it turns out, most Calzaghe fans are either drunks, or on Prozac.

          • yeah hopkins was better in his prime at middleweight, but you forget how huge a puncher calzaghe was in his prime. if Calzaghe went to 160 Little hopkins wouldn't be able to take joe's power.

He wouldn't fight guys in the to 10 chump. a guy ranked #9 was to highly ranked for him to fight. That says it all.
7 years? More like 4 moron.

Calslappy would slap Tito and Bhop on the same night. He would literally clown Tito so bad, it would be a Lacy all over again except that Tito is a quitter so he would quit. As far as Bernard, he wasn't past his prime. He had better performances when he left the 160 pound division. He won every round against Pavlik and Tarver, beat Pascal, beat Winky and got his butt screwed by the Italian dragon who moved up in weight.

Calslappy would never back up the whole fight against guys like Eastman, he would fight them at their own game and beat the chit out of them. He doesn't strategize, the Italian Dragon beats you at your own game. If Bhop would've gone rough at Zaghe he would've got hurt but we all know snaggle tooth is all about survival. He got embarrassed though, but it would've been worse if he tried to stand some mother****king ground cause Cal would've clowned the piss and vinegar out of him. Don't hate cause the Italian Dragon came to US and punked the "toughest" and the "most talented" US fighters in the past 20 years in order. That's what Cal does, beat ass and snort *******. Now shut up!

And the prime JT and Roy Jones that he faced he lost while in his prime mind you. Bro you represent Rigo a real fighter yet you defend Bhop a fighter that throws a right hand of balance and ducks his head under your arm pit to avoid punishment, faking shoulder injuries, low blows while he is dirtiest of all.

                • When Calzaghe throws punches, for some reason I think of Julia Roberts. Weird.

                    • Wish I could change the thread title to add Ward would never be considered the #1 SMW if Calzaghe fought in his era.
