Calzaghe? Not so much. He's a really great fighter. But he spent too much time hiding in the UK.
Lewis won many of his fights because he was physically bigger and/or stronger than his opponent. Its ridiculous that someone should think he was a better technical fighter than JOE!

You realise all the top SMW's where European right? there was literally no reason to fight in the States, all the titles where in Europe and generally contenders go to the titalists back yard not the other way around.

Don't confuse it. Both Lennox and Joe have tremendous physical gifts. Lennox was big, strong heavyweight with great boxing skills. Joe, a very fast hand & feet throw a ton of punches with good boxing IQ. Technically? Straight punches are superior to chopping windmill punches. So I'm going with Lennox, technically.

The biggest money fights have been and always will be in the United States.

Actually, Lewis always had his reservations about fighting Tyson, ever since they sparred as teenagers.

You must realize how ******ly biased that sounds.

Lewis fighting Tyson was no better than Joe fighting Roy or Bernard. At least with Hopkins, he was considered P4P #3 at the time and held the RING belt.

Wake up dude. The only thing that's different is time has passed, so you don't think so much about when Tyson fought Lewis, you only see the name on the resume.

Tyson had **** all left when he fought Lewis. Nothing. Hopkins and Jones are probably more credible victories. Let's not even get this **** twisted.

As for "senior citizens"... WTF. This shouldn't even need explaining. Roy Jones was crying out for a fight with Calzaghe. He got it. Hopkins and Calzaghe has been in the making since 2002 when Hopkins turned the fight down at the last minute. Now who's picking on senior citizens? Roy and 'Nard waiting until Joe gets old and looking vulnerable, or Joe trying for years to make fights with these guys and never getting a shot until he was a big enough name and they were in need of some cash?

Lennox, of course. Hard to gauge with heavyweights but with wins over a prime Ruddock, Golota, Holyfield, Tua, Mercer, Briggs...the list goes on. No brainer.

The difference being Roy and Bernard were Joe Calzaghe's "signature" wins. Tyson wasn't much of an aftermention on Lennox's legacy.

Still however, I give alot of credit for Joe beating Bernard. Which I think he did clearly. Close but clear.
