Because he never faced any of the elite in their primes, plus he the fights V B-Hop and even Robin Reid were robberies. If he was a true champ he would have had rematches. Based on your argument, anybody down at the pub who has never boxed is better than Lewis coz they never lost a fight! Nowdays in boxing, undefeated usually means overprotected. If he took on all comers like Lewis did and remained undefeated, then you;d have a point.

Lennox didn't avoid people like Joe did, in fact he was the one being avoided. Joe would have waited for Holyfield to take out hsi pension first

If anything Joe was tho one that was avoided. Hopkins didnt want any part of him till he was considered one of the best in the world at any weight. plus anytime anyone was considered at the top of the division (close to joe or above him) he fought em and beat them!!

Lennox tested himself, that's why he get's more recoginition. He was down to fight ANY and EVERY body. The best the world had to offer.

Calzaghe? Not so much. He's a really great fighter. But he spent too much time hiding in the UK.
