Exactly. You're not gonna outmuscle these MMA guys, and Ngannou is the only guy I can remember who didn't bite to any of Tyson's fients.

He absolutely expected this to be a walk in the park, and had one eye towards Usyk already. It was a great boxer who wasn't interested, fighting a good boxer who had everything to gain.

Ngannou fought up, Fury fought down, and they met somewhere in the middle.

Still, this is boxing - arguably the most corrupt sport in the world. Fury was never going to lose on the cards - the promoters wouldn't allow it.

He definitely looked different. I called it on here in the first round.

It's not about being toned - he'll never be that under his swathes of loose skin. But he looked weak and soft under that flubber, as opposed to being big and strong. And yes, Wilder 2 is the best example of that - a big strong man, even if he didn't exactly look beach ready.

I'll still give credit to Ngannou. He was much faster than I thought he would be and his tactic (I assume it was) of not giving up anything to Fury's feints looked like it perplexed Fury. Ngannou just wouldn't go where Fury wanted to send him. I don't think I've seen anyone do that in recent years.

But it's still all about Fury. If he's anything at all then he beats Ngannou, just as the current top 10 probably would. He let himself down massively last night and there's only so long you can be undisciplined out of the ring before it catches up with you.

You can understand why Usyk wants him in the ring ASAP. If it somehow happens on Dec 23rd then Usyk should be favourite. But then Fury has a habit of proving people wrong.
