But he only trained boxing for a year, had no amateur or pro experience, just trained in a gym at age 22 for a year. Went into MMA because the opportunity to fight pro presented itself, and he needed money.

He was never tested in today's fight, never got hurt. Tyson was tested...not Ngannou.

To answer OP's question, although he never got hurt...he has much more heart than Joshua just for being there and not folding under the pressure of the magnitude of his first pro fight with a Lineal Champion nonetheless...and he rose to the occasion.

it's not a difficult task to show more heart than Joshua. Joshua and Dubois both crumble when it comes to fighting through adversity.

I’m as a big a defender of pro boxing in its war against the obnoxious MMA crowd as you will find. But I was tremendously impressed by what Ngannou did.

He brought a determination and a will to win into a fight he really had no business being competitive in, and showed absolutely no fear. A mental toughness that is frankly sorely lacking among several of the top crop of heavyweights today.

All I could think was damn, this Ngannou has more fire inside him than Joshua has ever shown. Except maybe in the Klitschko fight.

I think a better question would be, "Did Fury show less heart than AJ?" Sounds like he completely bottled it, embarrassing himself and the sport. That's the story, not "but AJ" for damage control.
