  • Lol. Ol Fury said he would never underrate any opponent, then came in totally looking past Ngannou. He obviously had no real plan other than play around and make it look good. Ngannou came to win and shocked him.

I will guarantee a Fury victory over Usyk now. He is going to be motivated as hell to show the world that this fight was a fluke.

Ngannou, with a few more fights, could shock some people.

    • My guess is Fury did little training for this fight. We didn't see one photo, interview or mention from or about his camp.

      • This was a great event, good competitive fight. Idc where Ngannu is coming from, he’s a tough motherfcker and he made this event what it is with this competitiveness. I was wrong on him, as were many others, but it was actually good. Lots of drama. I think he has a future in boxing. He just dropped a lost a split decision to the #1 HW.

Prime Mike was 216 pounds and nearly a foot shorter if Fury is allowed to lean on him he beats him. If they fight straight up with no dirty boxing then Tyson probably beats him on points like he did Tucker who was a poor man's Fury in the late 80's.

Tim Bradley and ESPN noted he did a 12 week camp for this fight, longer than the 8 week camp for his last fight.

I agree. Fury was there for the taking in the last few rounds, if Francis stepped on the gas. Fury got very luck this could have been much worse.

There's a bunch more, but yes. That's apparently how he looks after a training camp that's twice as long as his usual, if he's to be believed.

Fury lost. it was a close fight with rounds going to both, with a knockdown... Boxing scoring has to have some connection to reality. Nobody would claim fury won that fight lol...
Are you mentally challenged? Typical casual lmao. You lost even more credibility when you said fury lost. You realize only you and a couple helmet wearers only think Francis won correct? Did you forget to take your medicine this morning? Did you forget to wear your helmet and fall?

Ngannou has just made himself a big name so a fight with him is big money in itself and it would set up a subsequent fight with Fury too. That's huge $$$. We still don't know that Ngannou is all that either. Fury fought a bad fight and styles make fights.

It's probably irrelevant though, I think we'll see Fury-Ngannou 2 now and Usyk having all options on the table, retirement, a stay busy, just waiting or taking another big fight instead.
I think the main advantages Ngannou had that Usyk won't have are:

                      1. Ngannou is super strong as we have seen in the MMA cage. Fury's Tactic of putting his weight on the opponent like he did to wear out Wilder didn't work at all because of Ngannou's super human physical strength. Usyk won't have this advantage. Fury will be able to wear him down in the clinch.

                      2. Ngannou's punching power. He had enough punching power to drop Fury badly and keep him honest throughout the fight. While Usyk is a very good sharp shooter, his punching power is nothing special and Fury will be able to walk him down if he has to.

These are the reasons they say styles make fights. Obviously Usyk is more skillful and more experienced than Ngannou but he doesn't have the physical stats to counter Fury's advantages like Ngannou did.

HOWEVER, as a great man once said: "There is more than one way to skin a cat."

Usyk fans should hope that he has found the other way because he isn't going to be able to do what Ngannou did..
