I was merely pointing out that this supposed world record is nonsense because it's done on a UFC machine and very few people have actually taken the test. So what does it mean?

But if you compare the two, I'll say a machine measurement doesn't mean a thing. The reason Wilder scores so many knockouts is because he can close distance very quickly and deliver a right hand with a good combination of speed and power before you've barely noticed he has closed the range.

There may be some fighters that can hit a machine harder than Wilder from a standing free shot at it. It doesn't mean they have the tools to deliver it as effectively in the ring. I wouldn't be surprised if someone like David Price could measure a higher score than Wilder if it's just standing still and punching a machine, but he can't deliver it with the same knockout recipe in the ring that Wilder can.

that's why boxing is done in a ring, not on a machine.
I agree with everything you say.

Except Wilder's power isn't really proven in relation to other heavyweights.

I don't doubt he hits hard. And I don't doubt that he delivers that shot pretty well, and effectively.

But it's pretty much all he does. Other fighters could throw huge bombs but don't because it's not a strategy that you can consistently roll out at the top level. His plan got him beaten three times(two, but really it should have been 3) by the only proven top level fighter he ever fought. And in his next best opponent (Ortiz 1) he really could have been stopped.

You won't see anyone challenge his record because no-one wants to fight like that.

But he's still more proven than Ngannou in every single sense in boxing. Ngannou won't land, never mind land hard. And he won't be able to do any of the things Wilder for.

Probably Ngannou doesn't punch that hard, yes. But for what is proven is that Wilder is a sore loser and a pathetic dosser who has no chance of beating Fury despite his power.

It's a nonsense record, a gimmick, unless all pro fighters go and do it.

Don't take everything at face value.
Oh I guess I did take at face value I was assuming wilder and Francis put 1 dollar into fun fair slot machine punch machine type thing when Francis reading higher. No, I mean the punch.machines they conveniently have on talk shows when they interviewing a fighter.
Tommy Morrison might hit harder than both on machine
