Yes, those are all men coming up from smaller weight divisions.

Trinidad and De La Hoya were as well.

Has Hopkins ever fought a cruiserweight? Has he EVER moved up in weight to fight anybody?

Even Mayweather has gone up in weight, to fight De La Hoya at light middleweight. Jones obviously has, to fight John Ruiz.

I like Hopkins and had him about 3 or 4 when he beat Pavlik. He also had an extremely close fight to my P4P 2 at the time in Calzaghe. I put him down because inactivity but for his age, he is a damn great fighter.

Havent made a P4P list for a while now, but maybe I should look at it when I have time.

Mayweather is in my top 5 P4P I think. He is a classy boxer, the best boxer in the world in terms of skills IMO. If he had more pop he would most definitely be a fighter that no one could beat.

The difference is, hopkins is clearly a tuneup and treated like one and mayweather's was an illegitimate fight sold as a legit fight.

          Who is the better competition:

          Juan Manuel Marquez...or Enrique Ornelas.

Noted well. I'm banking Hopkins/Ornelas will be more competitive than May/Marquez.

Actually both were middleweights at the time and Trinidad was in fact a middleweight champion (if not for hopkins, he would have easily unified all belts at 160, then fought roy jones at 168). I don't know how you can criticize hopkins for unifying the belts at 160 and let's not forget he was a 7-1 UNDERDOG against 40-0 Trinidad.

Sure, Oscar's best weight was 154 but he's the one that issued the challenge to B-hop (bhop weighed in at 156) and only a fool would turn down a fight with Oscar de la hoya.

Has Hopkins ever fought a cruiserweight?
Has Wlad ever fought someone his own size?

Has he EVER moved up in weight to fight anybody?
Antonio Tarver never happened? Hopkins didn't go up two weight classes at age 40 and beat the lineal champion at 175? hmmmmm
