Tank reached his ceiling, it’s why they are forcing him to stay at 135 til he cant. Tank at 140 is gonna need careful match making, at 147 he gets absolutely mauled. They built up tank like they wanted to build up broner, only difference is Broner thought he was smarter than his promoters and wrote checks everyone knew he couldn’t cash. It’s why the kept tank from Loma, why they will keep him from Shakur, they’ll keep him at 135 just long enough for threats to be a division apart while feeding him the pit bulls of the fight game.

I’ll always be a BHop fan, but his brain is really getting mushy in his old age.

If you only go by the eye test then sure, Tank Davis might be #1 P4P.

If you also factor in resume then there is no way he is #1 P4P.

Tank is like Prince Naseem, but not as good. Maybe he is in the top 10 p4p, no chance top 3.

I'm not seeing him anything yet that makes me think he should be ranked higher than Inoue

This is Bernard sending a coded message, "Sign with Golden Boy and together we will make millions more". Eddie, Oscar and Arum all know the entire PBC stable needs a platform and a lot of the key fighters have no promoter.

Bernard knows Grevonta Davis hasn't earned P4P status but that's what Davis is missing, and that's what Bernard is trying to bait him with. Is it possible? Maybe. Will Grevonta sign with Golden Boy? It depend upon whether or not the PBC can snag a replacement network. The only thing certain at this point is that Grevonta Davis is a money maker but P4P isn't about money. The only P4P list Tank Davis qualifies for is the income/entertainment list and that's what Bernard is all about, everything else is Fury level smoke screen and nonsense talk..

Some of you take this imaginary p4p stuff way too seriously. There is no set criteria for anyone’s pick so if Hopkins, who I’m sure has more experience in boxing than anyone on this forum combined, thinks tank is #1, that’s his opinion. I don’t agree but it’s not like there’s been anyone recently that has been a 100% consensus best fighter in the world.

"Davis’ coach Calvin Ford has rejected the possibility of a mega-fight with Shakur Stevenson, saying that Tank wouldn’t be paid enough.

Ford is not interested in seeing his fighter face the likes of Stevenson, Vasiliy Lomachenko, or Frank Martin, but he would welcome a rematch clash with Isaac Cruz."

Conclusion: Issac Cruz is the cash cow of the division

Thats p4p no1 stuff right there
