Imagine trying to argue that Ryan Garcia should get the winner of Haney and Prograis when you have Teo Lopez (who he’s making excuses for not even trying to negotiate with) or Subriel Matias, should he win his upcoming fight. That’s the problem with Hearn, he’s spent so much time fooling the British public with Aj, Callum Smith, Saunders, Benn etc , that he thinks everyone is a sucker.

Why not fight Tank ? Tank beat Ryan Garcia. There's probably more money in a Tank fight anyway , along with more risk , but according to Devin and Regis , they want to be great. Beating Ryan won't do much towards that , beating Tank definitely would.Comment

I'm going to be very interested in seeing how Tank does in his next PPV. If he doesn't have a really good dance partner, I suspect he'll be right back to his 250k average. Heck, even if he were fighting Shakur or Haney, I don't think he'll clear 1 million again.
Every fight was around 250k until Ryan Garcia, and then he did 1.2 million. That should tell you something about what Ryan brings to the table, and you're delusional if you think Ryan's fans are now Tank fans.Comment

not really - this is the way boxing is working now. Belt orgs are just letting the promoters prioritize money fights over inconvenient things like mandatories and eliminatorsComment

It is the Romero situation again - the belt orgs bend their own rules when they can make a much larger cutComment

they can beat Ryan and make money and be 'great'
or they can possibly lose to Tank (or Teo), make money and not be great
Easy choiceComment

Two prerequisite todays boxers need to become superstars; huge social media followings and/or concussive knockout power…oh and a networkComment
