I don't know what to expect from Stan TBH. I thought he was overrated at first, then he really impressed me against Butaev and then he's basically been inactive waiting on Ortiz. I want to see what he's still got. PBC should have gone ahead with Stanionis vs Crowley which is what they were discussing before the Ortiz fight.

Ortiz/Stani was such a big missed opportunity. That style match-up was gonna produce fireworks. Stani has a year's worth of pent-up frustration. If he's able to hone it, Thurman is in trouble.

I've long assumed that Crowley was gonna be fed to Ennis.

Crowly is fighting Mario Barrios next for the interim WBC belt. Or at least he's supposed to be.

We're not gonna miss 35 year old Keith Thurman fighting twice every four years. We're not gonna miss Danny Garcia fighting twice every 3 years. We're not gonna miss 40-year Erislandy Lara at the end stage of his career.

PBC has done severe, severe damage to the sport of boxing. Boxing is on the f**cking verge of being as popular as cricket. This is bad.
If PBC has done severe damage to the sport... Top Rank & Matchroom must be 200x worse lol, seeing as PBC have consistently put on the best fights in the past 2 years.

It would be awesome if they could add a couple more good matchups.

Say what you want, PBC does NOT have a wall higher than anyone else! How many TR fighters have you seen on all PBC cards, like you saw Porter, Martin, and Fulton?

In the Figueroa/Navarrete thread, I said that TR/PBC are fighting to see who can outlast the other. All the big promotional outfits have created their own ecosystems so they don't have to work with each other. They all take turns shxtting on each other for the bad behavior that they all engage in. When Hearn wanted to use DAZN's budget to match-ups between PBC/TR fighters and his own stable, Hearn got laughed at because he was perceived as desperate and inept. When the promoters act so cynical towards each other, it's no wonder why us fans become cynical and pessimistic as well.

It's a good thing that PBC has allowed some fighters to move around, but sometimes it feels like they do it out of necessity. Porter was only interested in facing Crawford, or he was gonna retire(?). Fulton had to demand to be allowed to face Inoue. The Frank Martin/Stevenson situation is how things usually play out: cynical bad faith behavior that leads to NO FIGHT. At some point. promoters need to realize that they are gradually damaging the integrity of the sport by not working together.
