Shakur is not entertaining, at all. And that anime "AHH" he makes after every jab is horrendous to hear.

Again, a fantastic boxer, who's as entertaining as paint drying.

    Gotta agree with you here.

It's obvious Stevenson has all the talent.
    But entertaining he is Not.

Arum just doesn't love Shakur the way he loves Loma. Loma sneezes and gets unearned opportunities. Stevenson has been doing everything the right way, but has nothing to show for it. Maybe he should consider leaving Bob.

75-25 is the standard split for champions vs mandatories, which is all that Shakur is. He couldn't bet on himself like Haney did for ONE fight? Haney earned the right to make offers like that and to choose a fight that puts his career in the best position. Shakur is the duck here. Lost his belts on the scale and hasn't fought anyone real at 135 yet. He knew he was going to fight for a vacated belt against lesser competition as the A-Side if he ducked Haney, and despite him turning the fight down, he gets to pretend it was a duck from Haney. Since neither is a draw, and Haney isn't affiliated with any promotion, it could have gone to purse bid, and Shakur wouldn't have gotten any better split anyways because even if one is just a champion for one organization, they still get a 75 cut. Haney is undisputed. He could have petitioned for a bigger cut than standard and likely gotten it.

And Shakur fights bum and bum and doesn’t KO them. He put himself in a bad spot by not taking the Haney 25% offer. He’s with Arum which is not a good thing and fighting an aging Loma doesn’t move the needle regardless of what Haney did against Loma. Now if and when a Tank fight is discussed they are going offer him 25% or less and it won’t discussion won’t happen after he fights De Los Santos. I would have more feasible after a Haney fight..

            1. What P4P-caliber boxer currently has 15 bouts?
            2. When did P4P require a minimum # of bouts?

Hearn likes Haney, but that relationship can cause issues for Matchroom's budget. Haney/Loma was on PPV too. So it stands to reason that Haney believes that he's now a PPV attraction.

Great post and imo Stevenson refusing the mandatory fight should have seen him removed from WBC rankings for 12 months!

Shakur could draw but the story has to be compelling, just having an exciting doesn't mean you're going to be a ppv star. Stevenson needs exposure, which will come with matchups that create stories.
