So they're officially called "dead time" now and the PBC will be trashed because they'll be on an app .. what comes around goes around.

For my part - good riddance! They have been hundreds of miles lower than what HBO was and when you live on the east coast and have children, sometimes you need to buy a fight and watch it in the morning. Not being able to record it and not showing it on the regular network like HBO did a week later makes it so either your Sunday is ruined or you just don't watch the fight.

An end of an era. My reason for having HBO was boxing. After they ended their boxing run, I cancelled my HBO subscription. My reason for having SHOWTIME was boxing. Now that they're ending their boxing run, I'll be cancelling my SHOWTIME subscription.

Same here. I have no reason to keep Showtime now. I have always enjoyed boxing on that network especially the ShoBox series. I watch boxing anywhere I can get it. Too bad that they have almost all have gone away.

Even the US Spanish stations used to play a lot of boxing and that has been suspended for years.
DANZ was good until it wasn't because they did not keep their initial commitment.

Hopefully something better comes off of this.

No one contributed to the down fall of boxing the way boxing stomped and continues to stomp on boxing and its fans to be exact. No National Commision, no concern for much of anything but the next PPV hype job, all about the promoters and the platforms. the number of people who have left boxing both on the professional platform and viewership is amazing but does boxing look at boxing ? No way ... Few if any realize that without some lead into boxing without boxing possibly getting new fans new blood in the sport it itself will die. Drug tests PEDs get talked about like they dont exist, poor match ups get written up like liars in a bar room wasnt that great ? no the fans say but they made money so that is all that counts. Showtime was a lead in a source of new fans yes HBO had a better intro but not even HBO could hold on , and its little sister is sick now too. i remember those fights on show as well as all lthe others i could miss fights and record them while at work, i could support boxing local and national or international and it was like it would always be there. So celebrate or ignore the death of another boxing outlet if you want but it says something about boxing n it it is not good.................

I’m sure McGregor and Dana will miss the weasel.

Boxing has lost its allure....I only watch highlight reels the following morning. I am not paying $100 for PPV. F ck all that.

Just an idea, but maybe the "woke" culture has been adopted as part of this great experiment of social change?

Too many weight classes and too many belts is what killed boxing.

If Amazon is getting into boxing, I hope they learn from HBO and Showtime mistakes.

Don’t work with any exclusive promoter and only pay for the fights that fans want and not the BS that takes place years after the expiration date.

If they give PBC an exclusive, they will go down just like HBO and Showtime. DAZN is next. Matchroom has F**ked their paymaster royally.

Din King was blackballed by HBO and Showtime and Arum has 1.5 feet in the grave. Needless to say the pompous POS like Jacobs and Moretti they have on board.

The YouTubers have taken over the sport, Canelo is on his last leg, and Showtime allowed Haymon to put on many fighters that nobody gives a sheet about. Fighters that do nothing to help promote themselves like Crawford or Cuban fighters tied to DeCubas that hardly speak English and bring no fans to the sport

The sanctioning bodies are all on the take, and judging in the sport is likely fixed. Promoters pay the ref and judges and people wonder why the sport is so corrupt.

Amazon, if you’re listening, you can succeed if you clean up the sheet that’s been going on you so many years. Harmon is not the answer.
