What would it cost to buy the sanctioning bodies?

Serious question: what would it cost to purchase the sanctioning bodies? It seems most of their value is in the brand legacy associated with the belts - particularly the WBC and WBA. Whatever we think about them, the imagery of classic fighters holding them is etched into people's minds and fighters want to replicate that.

I assume they have some global real estate, cash holdings and investments. What else? How would they be valued? I'm ultimately trying to establish what it would cost someone to buy them all.

Bumping this, would the Saudis be interested in buying the sanctioning bodies? Sulaiman would probably be the most resistant to selling.

The Saudis would never buy the orgs
        Not their style at all
But they would start something of their own and honestly , I wouldn’t be surprised
They Would line themselves very similar to what the UFC has done
Very proud people , sometimes even to proud , which I’m not gonna get into but they do enjoy calling something there own
Get what I’m saying and that would be my reasoning why they would never buy the orgs

What would be the point? To have one world governing body? How would you stop others being created down the line?

You wouldn't but most new ones don't take off so they'll be irrelevant.

maybe they don't take off because there are five already incl IBO. But if there was on'y one I'm pretty sure that over the medium term somebody would become unhappy with the way it was being run and seek to start a second organisation. Way of the world.

They could be frozen out by saying anyone holding the breakaway belt can't be ranked with the main organisation.
