Devin & Bill ran like thieves in the night when Shakur targeted Haney after the Loma fight. Anyone with two eyes can see that he really wants no parts of Stevenson.

Teo is the top dog at 140 right now. It's a bigger money fight too.

The reason that Haney and company took this fight is because they way Prograis looked in his last fight. He is not the lowest hanging fruit but has enough name to have people watching.

I don't think this will be a walk in the park for Haney. If he shows no power at 140 he will have a real hard time.

He sent Shakur an offer... Shakur turned it down. Haney was willing to bet on himself enough to play b-side in Australia twice. Why wasn't Shakur? Now he's fighting De Los Santos for a Haney leftover. I rate Shakur higher than Haney, but the closest Haney has come to ducking anyone was refusing to give Loma a rematch.

75/25 to a two division P4P talent is not an offer. 60/40 I can see, but 75/25 is similar to Canelo offering Bivol the same terms as the first fight -- basically ducking without officially ducking.

That's an offer from an undisputed champion to a contender. I repeat, Haney was willing to bet on himself. Why wasn't Shakur? Win that fight and he's on the other side of the split and he can play diva. He can't play B-side for ONE fight? 75-25 is literally the standard split for a champion and their mandatory challenger with all of the organizations except the IBF. Previous accolades in another division don't earn you more. It's not a unification. He's a mandatory, and Haney is the undisputed champion.

I saw in the press conference where Devin said Prograis was trash. Here he says he believes Rougarou is the best at 140. I'm guessing what he said at the press conference was mind games. He is just about the best around and i think he is a problem for Devin. Devin is a fit guy and that goes a long way but he's not a terrible puncher. He's a good boxer but he does have some flaws. Not sure how Regis will show up, but if he comes in rough and ready, this will be a great fight. I think he hurts Devin somewhere in this fight

Haney can't make 135 anymore and is moving up to take on a respectable opponent. Better than a lot of other fighters are doing.

Lmao all that aggressiveness just to be wrong.

Suiliman literally says Teo was undisputed

Mauricio Sulaiman, president of the World Boxing Council, openly admits that it's very confusing to the fans when there are three WBC champions in a single weig

That was obvious PR from Sulaiman justifying having three beltholders. Why do we care about the term "undisputed" when it's governed by corrupt people and organisations? Lopez was the World Lightweight Champion - that's enough.
