Comments Thread For: Espinoza: What I Respect About Benavidez & Andrade Is They're Not Waiting [For Canelo]

Canelo has said that many times in the past, pretty sure the were basically forced into an eliminator based on that. -
This fight does nothing for David as he gonna whoop andrades ass quiet easily. I wanna see David vs Morrell vs canelo… any of those three against each other. Anything else at 68 don’t matterLeave a comment:

Espinoza is now game in throwing some fighters under the bus. He has nothing more to lose now and he can be politically incorrect all he wants.Leave a comment:

If you think that Canelo is waiting to fight the winner of this fight, I have AC that I can sell you in Alaska in winter. Canelo wants no part of David Benavidez or David Morrell and that is just proven at this point. Not that David Benavidez didn't make his bed with the booger sugar, but it allowed the oh so convenient timing and mandate to be off.
That being said, I am REALLY LOOKING FORWARD to this fight. I think there are some real questions to be answered here. How does Andrade fare against a career, settled in (cruiserweight in between fights) super middleweight? Can Andrade do more than confuse/stifle David's attack? Is Andrade too long in the tooth to be dynamic, sharp at this weight? If Benavidez wins, HOW does he win?
Boxing is ending the year nicely with this and the Haney- Prograis tilt.Leave a comment:

Waiting and moving on? You think PBC would risk him loosing on a three fight deal?? Espinoza is punch drunk without ever fighting ! Just like he said threy had 3 $20 million dollar gates yet all failed to sell out . Now we know why showtime is dumping them

So basically they're finally doing what Canelo told them to do a long time ago...Leave a comment:

Both Andrade and Benavidez have made some poor career choices but it’s laughable when Canelo fans try to say things like, if Andrade fought Parker he would’ve landed the Canelo fight. Or if Benavidez didn’t get stripped for missing weight, Canelo would’ve fought him. That’s all nonsense. Andrade had the only title Canelo needed at mw to unify and Canelo had no interest. Andrade was slated to face Saunders when Saunders got caught cheating yet Saunders landed a Canelo fight and Andrade didn’t. Canelo petitioned the wbc for the title Benavidez was stripped of 2 days after he was stripped yet never asked for a title shot while he was champ. Benavidez has had mandatory status for a while now, yet Canelo chose a jmw instead. So yes, they’ve made bad choices but either way, Canelo has shown he’s not interested in fighting either.Leave a comment:

Zach Parker is normally a man of few words. The unbeaten super middleweight now has plenty to say after being left with even fewer fights thanks to Demetrius Andrade’s latest career move.

Andrade has ducked basically everybody, and has fought nobody. Despite having won the WBO 154, WBA secondary 154, and WBO 160, he has YET to fight a single actual world champion, former or not. Not even a secondary titlist. Jack Culcay with his WBA interim is the closest he's come to a champion, and he only won that on a split. He won his first WBO title on a split against Vanes Martirosyan. He claimed he was wanting to fight Lara, but pulled out for the aforementioned Culcay fight saying he'd only fight Lara "as a last resort." He won his last title against unheralded fighter Walter Kautondokwa, and even hit him while he was down in that fight, which was ignored by the ref. He then proceeded to fight nothing but weak mandatories until Janibek became his mandatory, and then immediately fled to 168, vacating his belt. Why are people impressed with this guy?Leave a comment:

Didn't Andrade have a fight lined up with Charlo at 154, contract agreement basically a done deal only to back out at the last minute? stop it with all the non-sense....Andrade didn't wait for anybody period. The guy tried to fight everybody at 154, 160 and now 168. Because he was ducked he had to fight mandatory after mandatory. finally he had enough and changed promoters and weight classes. So try to enjoy the two most ducked boxers fighting each other
