Why didn't he move up then?

at the end of the day if a fighter keeps signing fights after certain weight then there is no excuse. simply don't fight at that weight and sign a contract if you can't make it, especially if you have struggled for years, apparently.

if I was a professional fighter and I was genuinely struggling with weight, I would just move up. who cares if people accuse you from running from a division or a fighter? I'd rather people have their opinion than going into a fight as a lesser version of myself. All you can do is be honest and say you simply can't make the weight anymore and if this fighter or that fighter wants to fight you at your best, then it's gonna be have to be at 154 or whatever and then it's up to them.

So weight is never an excuse once you put pen to paper. Neither is inactivity, unless it's injury related. If you are not staying active knowing that you have potentially big fights coming up, then that's your fault for poor preparation. Or if it's the fault of your team that you're inactive, then it's their fault for not looking for your best interest and keeping you active with bigger fights on the horizon.

The fight isn't just on the night, its your training camp, it's your preparation it's everything. Once once you put pen to paper, then all the excuses about making weight, inactivity and everything go out the window. And if these things are going to be an issue then don't sign the fight.

Spence was always overrated. because he's black and undefeated.

did he get belts in multiple weight classes? No
did he have a long reign with multiple defences? No
did he at least beat a hall of famer? No

dude is basically no different from a Caleb Plant or Billy Joe Saunders. He's nothing special. a win over him shouldn't put you in P4P. Canelo beat stopped Plant and BJS easily tooo.

        Inoue is the best.

Crawford must beat Charlo at 154 to be in conversation.

It’s like modern fans can’t comprehend that a good/great fighter can be comprehensively beaten by a greater fighter.

A fighter isn’t going to look at his best if he’s losing and instead of it being a simple case of him fighting a better man, it’s “he got old or he’s drained or he was a hype job” and all this other nonsense you hear after every big fight.

            spence was never great.

he has no great wins. he has no great reign. he doesn't have any record of any sort.

he's a caleb plant/BJS level of fighter. always overrated.

Why is that desire to have one? How can a midget be compared to a LHW, a cruiser or a heavy? Saying such a thing is like the total inadequacy P4P. Inoue would be the best if he wins over the best of the other weight classes or in case there is no weight class and he beats them all, so in other words - Inoue is simply the best, but among the smaller fighters and that's all. It's still a lot, he is indeed amazing, but it is far from being the best of the best, because there's no such thing.
