Spence was a corpse on fight night. He said as far as back as 5 years ago that making 147 was tough. Dude was also damaged goods from the car accident.
Inoue went up to a new weight class and demand the number 1 mofo and then proceeded to box that ass off before stopping him.
Inoue's number 1.
Spence looked in great shape. Nobody said any of this until after the fight. It’s so typical of NSB.
I have no doubts bud can be no1 in future, but I don't think bud campaigning as a WW for 5 years to best Spence, is worthy of no1.
Beat Tim tzsue at 154, then bud can be no1, and I'm sure he can. Shouldn't be no rush to be no1, if you can wait 5 years to show your no1 WW, I think bud can wait a little longer.
End thread.
Tim Tszyu? Why would be need to beat Tszyu? It’s like saying Inoue needs to beat Robeisy Ramirez?

I just think it's dishonest to say beating spence takes bud over inoue, because spence is only in buds 3rd division, a weight class he campaigned 5 years in.
Should inou e win title in 5 divisions then to equal buds win over spence? You see it's looking unfair, especially so when I think inoue beats spence in his first fight if inou e was nearly spence size

Spence is a far better win than anything on Inoue’s resume. He was universally ranked top 10 P4P by Ring, TBRB, ESPN etc. Likely still is.

Spence like a lot of others on that list had no business being on there. He wasn't even destroying people in his own weight class let alone in multiple devision. Imagine a guy fighting in a devision that he can barely make and losing being called p4p. What a joke.

In his previous fight he destroyed fellow champion Yordenis Ugas.

I agree
you can only give credit for the fight as it was when it was signed and this was seen as the two best Welterweights of this era and there wasnt some overwheming majority picking one over another.
Has Spence been affected by the crash or weight? It's possible, but he's also beaten Garcia and Ugas after the crash, theyre solid enough fighters and beat Garcia easier than anybody has.
That's the problem with boxing, everyone wants to go back and change the narrative after the fight.
It's like Calzaghe and Jeff Lacy. he put an absolute beating on him and then everyone started saying Lacy was never that good anyway, maybe he wasn't or maybe Calzaghe ruined him, but that's irrelevant because there was a hell of a lot of people picking Lacy to win. I think it's cowardly to backtrack like that.
