Lacy has no point in staying at 160, he wants it at a catch weight to so I wouldnt even recognize no Jeff Lacy. Lacy should be fighting Calzaghe right now and then move up to 175 god knows he has the body for it.

Taylor is a schmuck if he doesnt take the 1.5 million, boxing is about risks and if you want to be undisputed champion of the world you have to take a RISK!

Zab took the risk and look what he did? How much did he do it for? Ha! Cory got paid less than Taylors offer and Zab got paid less than Cory. Zab ended up only getting paid 100,000 BEFORE fees were taken out and had the best showing of his career.

Bernard is a slut for giving a deadline and Taylor is a ***** for not taking it.

Boxing is a sport first not a god damn business, get the hell in the ring and earn your paydays.

Lacy has been making statements by doing just that.
Regardless of either's resume, neither are ready to fight Hopkins. His ring intelligence is far superior to both fighters. Neither of them are on his level. I would rather like to see Lacy try his hand at dethroning Bernard.

Qualifications at middleweight for Taylor are slim. Beating Joppy should not make you "the man". and so he beat Raul Marquez..big woop. Raul was fighting when Jermaine was hauling ass to the front porch when it got dark.
You're absolutely right about the slim-pickin's in the 160 pound division, it's sad that Sturm and Taylor can't just kick-back and wait for Bernard to retire, because Bernard has no more real challenges so the young guns gotta step-up to the plate earlier than they really should

As far as the fight I think if Eastman can pressure Hopkins and land some good shots Lacy can do the same and even put up a better fight. He won't win but he will put up a good fight against Hopkins.

Taylor hasnt done anything worth mentioning, but he would be staying at 160.

Their are 2 guys 2 GUYS at middleweight who are deserving of Bernard.

One is Trinidad, everyone deserves a second chance
TWO is Sturm, he smacked around De la hoya for 12 rounds and beat him without question.

THOSE ARE THE GUYS who should be fighting Hopkins right now.

I think Lack will knock him out or atleast win a decision but I think he will KO him. You guys are always talking about other fighters but you never want Hopkins to move up. He called Tito, Oscar, Vargas, and Shane *****'s for not moving up but this guy wont do the same. Move up or shut the **** up. He's been making me mad lately how he is trying to give everyone deadlines and pick his own matches. Fight Lacy if you want to really be the best.

You guys keep saying that he will outbox Lacy but thats bull ****. He fights all these guys that are to small or to slow for him. How will he be able to take a big punch from a 168 pounder and a guy who has great speed. He will attack Hopkins from the opening bell and X will have a problem with him. You dont think all that power Lacy has will bother him. Dont tell me about Tito's power because he has no speed and cant cut off the ring. Lacy will hit him much more and get alot of clean shots on him and Lacy has been at 168 his whole career while Tito started at 147 and had only had one fight. Lacy would be much tougher and X knows it, thats why he wont do it because he knows that he can fool all of you

Hopkins will use lateral movement in combination with his reach. And simply pot-shot Lacy with right hands. He will circle him, tie him up and land short compact shots. Then, he will distance himself once again, throwing the straight right, then loop punches and systematically wear Lacy down. I do not think Lacy would have a chance.

Nard would also exploit his 5' inch height advantage.

Thats my point. Thats what X does to everyone. He wont be able to do that kind of stuff to a guy who is bigger and stronger then him. Do you think he will be able to successfully tie Lacy up without getting hit alot? That stuff he did against a smaller much slower Eastman will not work on a fast super middelweight guy with a light heavey weight punch
