Comments Thread For: Shakur Stevenson on Naoya Inoue: "He's a Helluva Fighter, Tell Him Come Up and Fight Me"

Moving up in weight wasn't designed to be easy. No matter how great a particular fighter is, life changes once they decide to compete in a higher weight class. For Naoya Inoue, however, it's been a walk in the park.

Move down homie. You need him a lot more than he needs you.

Now Shakur is starting to sound like a talker. There is no way Inoue can come up to 130+ overnight. Eventually over time he will be able to, however. And Stevenson VS Inoue will be one helluva fight!

That fight isn't happening and every lightweight who has ever mentioned it should be embarrassed and ashamed.

Inoue aint about that life. He aint Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao. He's going to have a forgettable career in the lower weights instead of chasing greatness.

In which parking lot do you want to fight Inoue? And, surrounded by how many of your buddies?

Are you trying to say that as he matures into his adult weight, that Inoue will never make it to 135+?

Pacquiao, Mayweather, Whitaker, and more transitioned into the welters as they got older. This is not out of the question for Inoue. Neither is a matchup against Stevenson. Stevenson has gone up in weight himself.
