Yes you can look up the interview of Hearn saying it like why would i make that up? they were looking for a replacement after Whyte failed his test and Hearn said Ruiz was one of the frontrunners but was asking for too much money. Wilder is the 3rd best heavyweight by rankings and had 3 tough fights with Fury the 3rd one being a great fight Ruiz has done absolutely nothing other than catch a lucky punch on AJ. I dunno why you make it like a Wilder vs Ruiz thing when im no fanboy of Wilder i just think Ruiz is a moron sitting on his arse wasting away his career instead of climbing the rankings or making any fight at all.

oh no im not saying you made it up im just saying hearn likes to throw out names but that doesnt mean they were realistically looking to fight ruiz in a serious way. wilder lost all 3 fights vs fury. i dont know why thats so good? you say ruiz has done nothing but he literally beat the guy who is clearly wilders best win, he also beat joshua who is clearly much better than anyone wilder beat. just doenst make sense to criticize him when hes done far better than wilder. i think hes dumb for being inactive but he was being jerked around by wilder who never had any intention of fighting him.

also side note in a matter of days wilder should be dropped from the rankings for inactivity and not scheduling a fight for a year. its been almost exactly a year since he last fought but i somehow doubt the powers that be will remove him from the rankings or drop him from the rankings like the wbc did to ruiz. ruiz is sitting on his ass but so is wilder and wilder is the one who sabotaged ruiz's career by pretending he wanted to fight him

Why is this idiot writer saying “Andy Ruiz Jr. previously priced himself out of a pay-per-view fight with Wilder”. Not just because Wilde says a certain thing means it’s automatically true. Many fighters say many things. Show us proof, emails/text messages, voice calls where Andy Ruiz asks for an overpriced amount of money. Andy Ruiz already came out saying it’s not true of him asking for that. It’s word for word. Show proof or stfu.

Finally a contender that doesn't mind risking his status whilst fighters like Wilder , Joshua and Ruiz just hang around like a stench....waiting like vultures for an undeserved pay off.

he didnt price himself out. wilder killed the fight. this writer is either a dolt or a suck up. wilder-ruiz was going to be an elminator by the wbc. in an elminator ruiz deserved 40 percent yet wilder only offered 30! wilder knew this. ruiz knew this. thats why the fight was scrapped. going to purse bid would have forced wilder to pull out so the wbc didnt even order it to placate wilder/haymon. ruiz has also been moved down the rankings. wilder remains...

Why exactly would Wilder be scared to fight Ruiz in your mind? i'm trying to understand the logic that a man who got beat to a pulp but then stepped back into the ring with the same man would be scared of a mediocre fighter like Ruiz.

Zhang also claimed that Ruiz has priced himself out of a fight. Are they making this up? And if so, why?

I get tired of boxing fans saying 'scared of'. Boxing is a sport but it is also a business. At this stage of their careers AJ v Wilder is the perfect fight for both men. If AJ won't play then I'm sure Wilder would fight Ruiz but he is much the bigger name. I'm sure he'd accept 65/35. Ruiz keeps wanting more & will end up with nothing. Sanchez should go after Wallin or Bakole. If Wallin genuinely wants to be a champion, rather than just a guy that hangs tough & reminisces about how he almost beat Fury, then he needs to fight Sanchez, Bakole or Jared.

I heard Joshua's looking for an opponent not named Wilder, maybe give Fast Eddie a call Frank?
