Logan paul is the subject bc he said what he does in wrestling is harder …so I won’t entertain this conversation further . Logan Paul isn’t getting hit with chairs either ..smh. You can’t argue with me bc I grew up on those wrestling matches in fact I had a third cousin fight Andre the Giant ina bar fight ..if the forum wasn’t such douche bags I’d post the story he put on face book a month ago …….but you guys lost that opportunity it was really a cool story .

Hulk Hogan took very few bumps, he never did any aerial or high impact moves. His matches were always the same slow pace. His massive popularity was due to his charisma, not his wrestling abilities (very lacking) I don't think his health issues are the prime results of his wrestling matches, more to do with his steroid usage. Guys who do a lot of high impact and aerial moves are the ones who are damaged the most form their matches, Benoit and the Dynamite Kid are probably the poster boys for destroying their bodies with steroids and a high impact style of wrestling.Comment

What is is with people reframing what is actually said? I said wrestlers, did I say Logan Paul? No, so why are you replying what he isn’t doing? No shhhhh he isn’t, he’s not a wrestler, he’s a ticket seller making appearances. Bro, get hit with chairs, land on your neck, break a knee. Matter of fact show me one single boxer to ever boxer missing half a their foot, with a broken back or neck, wrestlers don’t have the same protections boxers do, they don’t go through a board, they don’t get time off. They either wrestle hurt or get cut. People want to argue what cannot be argued, there are plenty of documentaries on the abuse wrestlers put their bodies through. Wrestling is more than wwe, there are plenty of small time wrestling companies where folks are paid as low as $20 a fight and have zero to fall back on. Boxers deal with head injuries and brain trauma no doubt about it, but they aren’t taking blunt force trauma all day every day, even in training. They get time off, plenty of it to heal. A wrestler hits a mat at times with the force of being hit by a car. Try doing that for a living and tell me how much softer that is than boxing.Last edited by Boxing2695; 10-12-2023, 11:44 PM.Comment

As a practitioner of both boxing and karate, your post is absolutely on point. Each martial art has its own methodology , punching/striking/blocking techniques as well as power absorbing dynamics. Never got to practice wrestling(Greco) or JJ but couple buddies of mine do and they always stated its very demanding. Totally different world down there.
i hear they all get their joints ***ed up. even guys who never competed and just practice sparring get wreckedComment

Absolutely ,one of my friends has competed multiple bjj tournaments and has suffered several injuries doing so, back, wrists ,neck, shoulders, joints ...you name it. Couple of those doing sparring like you said, he even Required surgery and therapy to fix some of those. But the mofo keeps on rolling still lol. Real passion for the sport.Comment
