It's obvious that certain non American and non UK fighters are dominating. Only 1 USA fighter is listed in the top 15 ( He is 15th ) at Box Rec and 1 UK fighter at 13th. The rest are mostly Eastern European fighters. According to DNA tests, they are stronger than Western Europeans and Blacks and you guessed it the same group is overrepresented in the world's strongest man. Now boxing and powerlifting are two different sports, but I ask myself what if these boxers always competed in professional boxing from say 2000 on? Or even if from 1950 on? We see new champions at Middleweight, Light heavyweight and yes even heavyweight.

Not everyone believes in science ( DNA testing ) but I do. One must draw their own conclusions.

Getting back to the rebuild I assume NEW promoters who are billionaires will step forward and promote these no USA and Non UK fights for the future. That will be the re-boot. Right now many of the major fights are promoted by Saudi Arabia

Then, he delivers a half-assed PPV performance. Does that sound like someone who's extremely serious about his career right now, someone who wants to defend against mandatories?
There's definitely & obviously something to having an 8 digit bank account that impacts how often one fights I wouldn't argue with that.

The rest of it is a lil more nuanced than you are presenting it as. Its not like Mell sat for 16mos to wait for a sweepstakes payday. He was ready to fight Tim when Tim was hurt. Than Tim was ready to fight Mell when Mell was hurt. Then this wild ass opportunity presented itself. Should Mell had fought when Tim was hurt instead of sitting out? I'd bet he wished he had but I imagine he didn't think he'd have gotten hurt right after Tim was hurt.

As to the fight, Mell fought like he was trying to survive more than win so that is what it is, but I kinda think he saw that as life changing $$$ more than something he in his heart of hearts thought he was gonna win. That definitely should bring up questions about him moving forward, but I suspect he has more dog in him at 154 than 168. Plus he's 33 so his days are numbered whether he fights or sits for 2-3yrs so if he's gonna try to boost his legacy, redeem himself from the last performance &/or try to make some more $ or another $$$ payday he needs to be active & I think he knows that & will act accordingly.

I did forget that Tszyu got injured beforehand, was that when he got bitten by the dog?

Jermell accepted an opportunity that no fighter would turn down, but there are consequences. He can't have an ongoing war of words with Tszyu, and then not defend the throne when it's time to. He can't get mad at the WBO for stripping him when he chose to abdicate his responsibility. He probably thought that the WBO would give him preferential treatment like the WBC is giving Jermall. Tszyu isn't the only guy waiting in the wings to face him either. It won't surprise me if Jermell winds up getting stripped of more titles before his eventual return.

No the dog thing was before Ocampo & he still fought. Tim had hand surgery last year & thats why they had a date to fight in Jan 2023 announced in like July 2022 or something weird like that instead of a tighter date like Haymon usually does.

^^^Aug story about Tim starting camp in Sept for Mell after hand surgery.

Probably right about losing a belt. These belt groups are fooked up & some guys have mando's & some don't have mando's. And Mell might be on the outside looking in with that now.
