Did GGG Have 1 of the Greatest Careers a Fighter Can Wish For?

  • 100% yes.

It doesn't make him all that in terms of ATG status. If GGG was a basketball player, he would be one of those players that were the best to never win a championship. That's GGG.

However, to have one of the greatest careers a fighter can hope for? 100%... 150% even. Without a doubt.

He was afforded the opportunity to fight so many no hopers in a row.
From where he came from to where he's at now, financially, yes.
It was a heck of a ''career''
          From his POV, of course.

How did his resume warrant that many paydays (at least 3 of them)

Let's look at it another way.

Any boxer that isn't a certified ATG would love to have GGG's career.

2 losses and only to a certified ATG while building a legend of being some sort of bogeyman.

In a way, Benavidez is currently marching along that same career path.

His career wins are Dirrell, Plant, Andrade? That's basically Lemieux, Jacobs, and Brook.

              No question
GGG made the most of nothing
I'm sure his bank account is very enviable to plenty.

              Holy Moley
              Twins !

I guess what it actually comes down to is likability.
              If resumes were reversed, though
How would NSBers look at Nelo ?

In the long run people get what they deserve

due to not taking risks ggg has faded into obscurity and never became a crossover star

Ward and Floyd were there. ggg fought neither

                  Yeah
                  GGG gets love by default
Mugs, for some weird reason, dont like Nelo.
Who went out and chased greatness.
                  Might as well love GGG

So called fight fans would skewer Nelo if he had GGGs lame resume.
No one would make a thread bragging about it.

                    • Honestly it goes to Hankey without question. A two weight (soon to be 3) weight division champ. A gift against Loma, beating a weak ass prograis and at 147 is a piece of shlt division. Not to mention even BEFORE getting the gift against Loma a few fights beforehand eddie Hearn paid em millions which lead to dazn going ppv and raising the price lol
