This, 1920s and 1930s for me are the best boxing years, lots of fighters fighting each other and several times and more frequent.

I was too young to really enjoy 90s boxing. 00s was pretty great. Still had many greats of the 90s competing at a high level, constant influx of new stars emerging and the sport wasn't as watered down yet. You could still get to see most of the great fights you wanted to see at a timely fashion. And the amount of great fights was astounding.

2010s had some great years but imo somewhere along the line the sport went down the drain IMO during this era.

          The 50s

Boxing is just tuning up prior to the 50s. The 50s pioneered all the modern techniques and **** that make say the 20s look a bit basic.

All of Ali's **** comes from 50s fighters. ... You know, the guys he grew up wanting to be like. He was like them. He got his shuffle and shoulders from Walcott, rope-a-dope from LaStarza, counters from Ezzard, and his jab is a mix of Joe Louis and Kid McCoy(19th century).

          After Ali, everyone mimics Ali.

Next big name is Tyson ... if you can't see how Tyson = 80s Marciano yer ****ing blind.

Next big name is Money. His shell, so new, so innovative, so similar to the Mongoose I can't believe people don't mention it more.

The 50s is where all the boxing that makes yer ***** wet came from. Well, most of it anyway.
