What is your favourite era in boxing?

    Leonard: Late 70s-middle 80s
    Tyson: Middle 80s-early 90s
De La Hoya: Late 90s-middle 00s
    Mayweather: May 2007-Sep 2015
    Canelo: Nov 2015-present

Don't know much about before Leonard. But current A-side concept has started with him.

Late 90s to middle 2000s. Lennox Lewis was champ, B-Hop was making history, Barrera and Morales were going to war.

I'm a bit young for the Tyson/Leonard eras but can obviously appreciate it in retrospect.

The Floyd era was boring and frustrating, I took long breaks to do something more interesting for large parts of it and only followed casually.

The Canelo era is a bit "meh". Lots of belt collection, not many inspiring contests.

Canelo era is interesting. We literally watching only Canelo's legacy journey since Cotto fight. Everyone wanna fight him and no one cares about other fighters. He is probably most dominant fighter ever in his own era.

Most undisputed or unified champions became in Canelo era. But, their undisputed runs were so easy and didn't have much legacy.

        Still better than Floyd era.

This Era is ok...the absolutely abysmal HW div kills it.

90s is my favorite era but the 80s era was boxing at its absolute finest.

I think everyone's favorite is the first 5-10 years they followed it closely. Just like anything in life, its peak is when it has that perfect blend of familiarity and novelty.

1920s and 1930s. phenomenal amount of fights between champions and highly ranked contenders. the only bad thing was dempsey's inactivity. 1940s would be there if ww2 didn't block several divisions. everything else is kind of boring compared to those times.
