It’s obvious bro, bread is biased toward his people but I don’t judge or blame him we all the same way regardless if we admit it or not.., my issue with bread is that he has a platform that we all don’t and should be objective but fails to do so. Lame, get a Reynoso mailbag and a lot of the same questions would produce a lot of different answers… naturally. At the end of the day, it’s his opinions yet some come on here taking about… oh bread is so right, phuck outta here

Another thing, any version of Floyd mayweather wouldn’t beat the 168 canelo. Weight classes matter, canelo would be too strong and would hurt Floyd with power shots and because of it the feint game would allow canelo to manipulate Floyd and run him into power shots all night until he would either get stopped or lose by decision if he chose to survive which I could see him surviving because he’s one of the greatest defensive boxers ever. Canelo at 152 didn’t have the power he has now, and the experience. It’s day and night. Bread knows that, he just ducked the answer. I don’t know my ass… he chose to not know lol pathetic
Only a blind fanatic or someone who has seen too many superhero movies would ever believe Floyd - or any fighter for that matter- can move up three weight-classes and beat an elite fighter.
I agree that Breadman shoudn't have picked that question if he had no intention to give a honest answer.Comment

What about a prime Roy Jones vs Floyd? You think Floyd wins? What about Andre Ward vs Floyd at 168? Any chance Floyd wins?
Like you stated, Weight matters so why have a hypothetical debate on that?

I agree 100%. The day of announcement I saw the stylistic mismatch and so did most fighters, fans and commentators. Thing is, so did Canelo and Reynoso and maybe even Charlo but for 8 million he said screw it. If you remember, the entire community thought it was Jermall and shocked when they found out it was the little Charlo. Nobody thought Jermell was a challenge, it wasn't until they cranked up the echo chamber and his height became the deciding factor as if 6ft 6 Fundora might be the next light heavyweight champion.Comment

First, I feel for fans that bought into the marketing that are now disappointed. I get that, the fight was not as marketed but make no mistake, it was exactly as designed. More over, laying this at Charlo's feet and giving Canelo a pass is EXACTLY why there are no competitive fights, because they aren't necessary. Just look at the facts..... Canelo holds the purse strings, Canelo hand picks the opponent, Canelo chooses the time and weight and terms and testing and location...everything. Sure Jermell Charlo took the 8 mil...and so would everyone, including me, you and your favorite fighter...
Charlo had 2 choices, throw caution into the wind and risk real life changing damage or continue doing what he was doing and take the loss .
The real question....Why was Charlo picked at all? Was there no other opponent for Canelo? Could the opponent have been closer weight and talent. Was there no one else begging to face Canelo that might have presented a better challenge? Or was Charlo just a very beatable name marketed as a potential threat because of his height? The day the fight was announced most agreed it was a mismatch right up until the marketing machine kicked in and all of a sudden Chalo was the threat.... not Morrel, Benavidez, Andrade or Plant.
So here we are, deprived of a life altering Kirkland style beating for our entertainment. Who's at fault. is it the player or the game? If you don't like being fed these noncompetitive fights then STOP paying for them and the menu will change.
Low-risk/high-reward fights.
Drag undersized name fighters up and drain bigger name fighters down
Delay the fights everybody wants to the last possible moment to "let it marinate"
Mayweather was better at it.
He wouldn't have cherrypicked a dude like BivolComment

Idk why? It’s not my mailbag, I don’t choose the questions and answers that get posted but i get where you coming from. Prime Roy and prime Andre would whoop Floyd ass too, they just too big. Floyd is p4p equal to them boys and arguably better but that wasn’t the question, he too light in the ass for those two all time greats and matter fact, prime for prime Floyd ain’t ******** with Roy jones even if it were at the same weight no shame in that because I can probably count it on one hand as to who could phuck with a prime Roy Jones… sh.it had Roy retired before before tarver, we may be talking about the literal GOAT.Last edited by Robi13; 10-08-2023, 11:01 PM.Comment
