Clottey is a very good fighter.

very good chin, tough defense, decent power, underated handspeed, solid jab and sneaky right hand, can put punches together well.

His only problem is his workrate where in his biggest fights, he lost on points to Margarito and Cotto ( very close though) because he lacked a good workrate throughout a whole fight.

If Clottey could maintain a good workrate throughout a fight, he would be even harder to beat.

Yes. Clottey is more disciplined and has a better defense.

Were he in another weight class, he'd be ranked higher.
