The fight is signed and dates are blocked out. The whole ducking thing and it won't happen thing is done. This will dwarf all other events in combat sports with ease.

i think fury can have 2 fights 3 months apart, hes done it before with wallin & schwarz, this fight with the mma guy will not be an attritional fight & his last 2 fights were v stumble bum and chisora

fury doesnt want too long in between i would say as that could mean his belly expands due to stuffing his face with stuff, he needs to stay sharp for usyk who is a sharp mover himself & knows how to box very well

Hope I'm wrong, but this kind of seems like Methuselah is preparing disclaimers, small print and excuses, just in case. Some people act like it never happened that a done deal fight got cancelled. I hope this happens, but I will believe it when they are both in the ring and I hear the first round bell. At this moment, I see no need for some huge hype train for a fight that doesn't even have the date set.

I imagine they're trying not to disrespect the Ngannou fight by announcing the date, but I'd guess it's already set.

Disrespect? Who Ngannou??? He's going in there to be humiliated for a payday. Sorry but nobody give a shyt about Ngannou and his feelings.

Don't be sorry, I miss the point once in awhile too. By announcing the Usyk date, they would be publicly admitting that Ngannou has no chance. MMA has cooled off. There are people hoping for a Ngannou victory here, and nobody wants to disillusion them before the fight. No accounting for taste.

Just watched Ngannou-Lewis. 15 minutes of pure stand-up MMA. Sweet science. Fury better watch out.

If he wins inside 3 rds they take the Usyk fight in January 2025; if it goes the distance Jan 2026. Then get your 4th match with Chisora.

But didn't he sign a 3rd fight with Wilder and then instead tried to sign a fight with Joshua to the point where we though he *was* fighting Joshua?? He was also signed to rematch Wlad but then decided to "retire". Fury can always find a way out.

All he has to do is say Usyk is trash and not worth fighting and give up his belts. His fans love that stuff. Or his promoter will say he is mentally ill. Something like that. He could have already fought Usyk or AJ if he wanted it.

Listen I'm no Fury fan but your just plain ****** or just a sad cellar dweller hater to say he doesn't want the fight after signing, utter childish nonsense.
We know he didn't want the fight because he said he was training for the Usyk fight but his trainer (Sugarhill) later confirmed he wasn't (in any way!) I imagine since Dubois hurt Usyk, it has given yellow Fury some confidence. But given Fury said he was out-boxed by Cunningham - he is probably still scared even so. Being signed doesn't mean a fight will happen. Anyone can pretend to be"injured". Mike Tyson was pulled out of a fight with a fake injury because his team saw he has been skipping training and was in poor shape.
